The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced an arrest has been made in connection to the death of an 81-year-old woman on Dec. 10 on the 1300 block of Corcoran Street, NW.
According to MPD documents, officers responded to the location for the report of a stabbing, where they located a woman in an apartment with injuries. A man was also located in the residence with self-inflicted injuries. They were transported to local hospitals, where the woman succumbed to her injuries.
The victim was identified as 81-year-old Sharron Hilda Schwartz.
MPD arrested and charged 85-year-old Steven Schwartz with second-degree murder while armed.
