The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced an investigation into a fatal crash in Southeast, DC on Dec. 10. A 16-year-old driver, Areohn Savoy, died after the stolen Lexus he was driving was struck by a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Reed Terrace and Southern Avenue, SE. The passenger in the Lexus survived with non-life-threatening injuries. The Jeep’s driver, Sean Stokes, 36, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence.
