The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of 26-year-old Warran Welcome in connection with an attempted stabbing incident on Jan 1. Welcome allegedly attempted to stab two employees at a business on the 1700 block of Corcoran St, NW, after being asked to leave the premises. Fortunately, neither employee was injured, and Welcome has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
