The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the recovery of 31 illegal firearms in Washington, D.C., from Jan 20. to Jan 27. Arrests included individuals such as 26-year-old Tey-John Miles for possession of a “Ghost Gun” and 53-year-old Melinda Fendell for possession of a Ruger 357. The MPD continues to work with specialized units and community members to remove illegal firearms and reduce crime in the district.
