The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced a second arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Sep. 2 in the 2800 block of 7th Street, Northeast. The victim, identified as 46-year-old Townsend Reginald Sowell, was pronounced dead at the scene. On Jan. 24, Rogea Murray, 29, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed. A previous arrest was made on Sep. 11, involving a 32-year-old male from Temple Hills, Maryland, also charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
