The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced they are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on Jan. 8 in Southeast D.C. Michael McCorkle, 64, was struck by an unknown vehicle while walking his bicycle across Southern Avenue. The vehicle fled the scene, and authorities are seeking information to identify the suspect.
