The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of a 16-year-old juvenile male in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred on Aug. 13, 2024, in the 2700 block of 31st Street, Southeast. The suspect, from Southeast DC, was charged with the carjacking, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, and Receiving Stolen Property. The investigation is ongoing.
