Chelsea Campbell is a sociology major minoring in law and philosophy at the University of Mary Washington. Driven by a passion for social justice and equity, she chose to intern with D.C. Witness to better understand the criminal justice system through hands-on reporting. Chelsea is eager to learn how journalism can hold institutions accountable and highlight overlooked voices. Through this experience, she hopes to grow as a writer and advocate, using what she learns to help create a more equitable and compassionate world.
