Austin Pierce is a recent UNC-Chapel Hill graduate with Highest Distinction in Political Science and Geography and Honors from Honors Carolina. He spent three years founding and directing a leadership and arts program for 100-plus students in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and served as an Assistant Program Director for the PowerSound of the South at NC State University. His honors thesis examined the decline of queer venues and spaces in London through the lens of zoning policy and local governance. He is now based in DC, where he is pursuing opportunities at the intersection of policy, education, and civic engagement.
