Judge Delays Ruling on Defendant’s Release Status

A DC Superior Court judge delayed ruling on a defendant’s case.

Cornell Glover is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm for his alleged roll in an assault of a woman on the 3500 block of 18th St., SE, on Dec. 29, 2019.

DC Superior Court Judge Anita Josey-Herring decided April 15 to hold the motion to release to allow time for both parties to coordinate with the federal case.

Glover, who was allegedly intoxicated on the night of the incident was in a domestic fight with the woman. According to court document, Glover had broken the woman’s car window, slapped her in the face, pointed a gun at her and said, “Bitch, Imma kill you.”

A felony status conference is scheduled to occur on June 18.
