Crime Alerts: April 29

Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., D.C. Witness was able to log five crime alerts sent out by the Metropolitan Police Department. 

Most recently, an alert was sent out at 4:57 p.m. in relation to a fifth district shooting that occurred at the intersection of 19th and I Street, NE. No lookout was released in relation to the shooting. 

Nearly a half-hour before the last alert, police notified the public about a shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of Fairmont Street, NW at 4:24 p.m. A lookout was released for a teenage black male with a skinny build, wearing blue jeans. He was last seen fleeing in a gold Sedan. 

Before that, an alert was sent out at 3:55 p.m. in relation to a robbery that occurred in the 1400 block of Girard Street, NW. A suspect was detained at the scene. 

Two hours earlier at 2:09 p.m. an alert was sent out in relation to a stabbing that occurred in the 1300 block of Girard Street, NW. A lookout was released for an older black male with short hair, wearing a white shirt. 

The first alert of the day was sent out at 12:44 p.m. in relation to a fatal shooting in the 200 block of New York Avenue, NW. A lookout was released for a black male wearing all black clothing. He was last seen moving toward Kirby Street.
