Judge Releases Convicted Murderer Early

A judge released a man convicted of murder early.

Tizer Muse was found guilty, in 1998, of felony murder while armed, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, carrying a pistol without a license and second-degree murder.

Muse was sentenced to serve 30 years in prison for his crimes, however DC Superior Court Judge Danya Dayson decided to release him on April 30.

Muse has filed multiple motions to vacate and reduce his sentence since 2000.

Muse will now be under probation for an undisclosed amount of time. However, there is a probation review hearing scheduled for Oct. 2.
