A convicted felon was sentenced on May 20, which resulted in his release.

David Penn pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a vehicle on Dec. 11, 2019. In 2018, he was indicted for receiving stolen property of $1,000 or more offenses committed during release and unauthorized use of a vehicle offenses committed during release.

Judge Juliet McKenna sentenced Penn to 16 months in prison for his crimes. She also gave him credit for time served, which resulted in his release. Penn must also complete three years of supervised release and pay $100 to the Victims of Violent Crime Compensation Act.
