After defense counsel filed a reconsideration for release, a DC Superior Court judge released him on May 22.
Christen Wingfield is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm with a prior conviction and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
Judge Todd Edelman ordered for Wingfield to be released under the High Intensity Supervision Program (HISP).
On May 20, D.C. Witness reported that Wingfield’s attorney told Judge Edelman that he qualified for HISP.
Wingfield’s original motion for release was denied on May 7 by Judge Rainey Brandt.
A felony status conference is scheduled for June 25.
