A defendant in a drug case missed her court hearing on Aug. 19.
Keisha Christian was arrested on April 29, 2019, after law enforcement saw her exchange money for an amber colored liquid stored in a vial, according to court documents. Officers on the scene said the odor coming from the vial was consistent with PCP. Christian is being charged with assault on a police officer, unlawful possession of liquid PCP and resisting arrest.
The defendant did not show up due to an alleged “hazardous waste clean up” that prevented her from leaving her apartment, her attorney Chantaye Redmon-Reid.
District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Rainey Brandt rescheduled Christian’s hearing for Aug. 24.
