The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) have arrested a 33-year-old from Lexington, NC for a shooting that occurred on Sept. 27.
At around 1:10 in the morning, officers responded to the 2500 block of Benning Road, NE to investigate a shooting that was reported.
Officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening wounds.
On Sept. 28, officers made an arrest in this case and charged the suspect with assault with a dangerous weapon.
