A DC Superior court judge continued a Nov. 5 hearing to give the defense time to discuss a plea agreement.
The 36-year-old defendant is charged with first-degree child sex abuse. The victim in the incident is a 12-year-old relative.
Defense attorney Anthony Matthews said he has had difficulties reaching his client, who is currently being held at DC Jail.
Judge Robert Okun scheduled the defendant’s next hearing for Dec. 21.
