Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrested a suspect in connection with a first-degree burglary offense that happened on Dec. 12.
At around 9:39 p.m., the suspect entered a residence on the 1800 block of North Capitol Street, NW to conduct a transaction with the victim.
Once inside, the suspect allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded money and property. The victims complied and the suspect tried to flee, but was apprehended by responded officers.
A firearm was recovered from the suspect, according to a press release.
