The death of a one-month-old this summer has been ruled a homicide, and a woman has been arrested for the baby’s alleged murder.

According to police, the baby, Christopher Antonio Conley, Jr., was found unconscious and unresponsive on July 19. He was taken to the hospital in “grave condition” and died on July 23.

On Dec. 16, the medical examiner rule the baby’s cause of death as homicide, due to “blunt neck and head trauma.”

On Tuesday, police arrested and charged Deana Debrow-Conley with first-degree murder. Debrow-Conley was arrested in Philadelphia and transported to D.C. Police did not disclose the woman’s relationship to the baby, though they share a last name. It was not immediately clear when Debrow-Conley would be presented in D.C. Superior Court on the charges.
