Police are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning that left a 27-year-old man dead in Northwest.
Police say Lawrence Alonzo Carter of Northwest was found dead from apparent gunshot wound by police responding to sounds of gunshots on the 1500 block of First Street, NW. Carter was found at around 1 a.m. Saturday.
