Lamar Young pleaded guilty on Monday to one count of voluntary manslaughter for the death of Bobby Ellis last August.
Young, who is being held without bail pending sentencing, stabbed Ellis in the 4800 block of Meade St., NE.
Ellis’ case was initially scheduled to go to trial, before he accepted the government’s plea deal. He was initially charged with second-degree murder.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 14.
