Police on Tuesday announced an additional arrest was made for the shooting death of James Dorsey Jr. in December of last year.
According to police, William Charlie Bowman was arrested by U.S. Marshals and charged with second-degree murder while armed. Bowman was extradited from Georgia to D.C. for the charge.
Interim Police Chief Peter Newsham had said Dorsey and two other men were arguing outside a 7-Eleven when one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot Dorsey. The shooting happened a little before 8 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2015. Dorsey was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Shawn James Brown, 28, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder on New Year’s Eve.
Bowman will be presented in court on Wednesday afternoon.
