The Metropolitan Police Department’s Internal Affairs unit is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on the 2300 block of 15th Street, NE on May 9.
According to a press release, an off duty MPD officer discharged his firearm striking D’Quan Young, 24. Young died later at a local hospital. The officer has been placed on administrative leave.
