The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting on the 1500 block of T Street, SE. The shooting, which occurred less than two hours into Labor Day weekend, is the first homicide to happen in the month of September.

According to a press release, police found Sept. 1 Carl Day-Baker suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The 28 year old was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police are currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this homicide or any other homicide in DC. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099 or send a text message to the Text Tip Line at 50411.
