On June 9, a DC Superior Court judge scheduled a hearing to determine if a domestic violence case has enough evidence to go to trial.
The defendant is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. He is currently being held at DC Jail.
Judge Jonathan Pittman scheduled the preliminary hearing for July 8.
