Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Aug. 15.

At approximately 8:26 p.m. police responded to the 2200 block of 14^th Street, SE, due to sounds of gunshots. Police located 28-year-old Kalif Brown with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle and pronounced him dead on scene, according to the press release.
