A defense attorney in a domestic violence case told a DC Superior Court judge that his client has chosen to reject a plea offer from the prosecution.
The defendant is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
After months of plea negotiations, defense attorney Donna Besley formally rejected the plea offer on her client’s behalf during the Aug. 17 hearing.
Judge Rainey Brandt scheduled a trial readiness hearing for Sept. 13.
