Metropolan Police Department (MPD) detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sept. 1.

At approximately 3:21 a.m. police responded to the 800 block of 3^rd Street, SE, due to a report of an individual down. Upon arrival, members located 35-year-old Carl Harris with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on scene, according to the press release.
