Metropolan Police Department (MPD) detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sept. 2.

At approximately 12:11 a.m. police responded to the in the 2700 block of Langston Place, SE, due to sounds of gunshots. Officers located 41-year-old Ricky Darnell Black with gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead on scene, according to the press release.
