Metropolitan Police Department detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. on May 10, officers responded to the 2600 block of Stanton Road, SE, for the report of a shooting, according to a press release. There, they found James Curtis suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
