A jury in DC Superior Court Judge Rainey Brandt’s courtroom found a triple-homicide defendant guilty of three counts of involuntary manslaughter on April 6.  Nakita Walker, 46, was originally charged with three counts of second-degree murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and fleeing a law enforcement officer, for her involvement in a fatal crash that killed Mohamed Kamara, 43, Jonathan Cabrera Mendez, 23, and Olvin Josue Torres Velasquez, 22, on March 15, 2023 on Rock Creek Parkway, NW.  After less than two days of deliberations, a jury found Walker not guilty of three counts of second-degree murder, but guilty on three lesser-included counts of involuntary manslaughter.
