D.C. Chief Medical Examiner Roger Mitchell along with the Metropolitan Police Department Chief of Police Peter Newsham updated the public May 4 about the skeletal remains of three unidentified women in Southeast D.C.
The remains were found on the 100 block of Wayne Place SE on April 25. Although authorities are still not aware of much that went on, an investigation is underway.
The cases have been classified as homicides, citing that two of the victims suffered from gunshot wounds and the third suffered from some type of trauma.
According to MPD, the remains may have been buried at least a year ago.
