After a mental examination a defendant was found competent to stand trial on May 26.
Brandon Bacchus is charge with attempted threats to do bodily harm, violating a civil protection order and unlawful entry of private property in a domestic violence case.
DC Superior Court Judge Maribeth Raffinan found that Bacchus is now competent to stand trial after having a mental exam on May 9.
Judge Raffinan also denied the defense’s oral motion for release but granted the defense a detention hearing.
The detention hearing is scheduled for June 4.
