A murder defendant removed himself from his bond review hearing before it could end.

Andre Smith is charged with first-degree murder while armed for his alleged involvement in the shooting of 32-year-old Delwaun Lyons on the 3000 block of 30th Street, SE on July 20, 2019.

Smith disconnected himself from the webex conference before the hearing was over on May 11.

The prosecution agreed to have Smith’s conditions modified due to the medical issues he is currently experiencing. The issues were not disclosed.

A felony status hearing is scheduled for June 23.
