A defendant’s defense attorney requested May 21 that a DC Superior Court judge scheduled her client’s cases on the same day so a decision could be made.
Emmanuel Southerland is charged with robbery for stealing items inside of a Target on the 3100 block of 14th Street, NW on March 19 as well as a robbing a PNC Bank on the 3300 block of 14th, NW on March 16.
Southerland’s attorney, Azhar Khan, told Judge Juliet McKenna that if a plea deal was agreed on, an earlier hearing date would be requested.
A felony status conference is scheduled for June 22
