Metropolitan Police department (MPD) detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Aug. 19.

At approximately 1:00 pm, police responded to the 900 block of Wahler Place, SE, due to a report of the sound of gunshots. Teon Jackson, 18, was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on scene. according to the press release.
