The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has made an arrest in connection with an assault that occurred on Dec. 16.
At around 12:58 p.m., the suspect broke into a residence on the 500 block of 19th Street, NE. The suspect began grabbing the victim’s property in addition to stabbing the victim with a knife before fleeing the scene.
The victim was treated on scene for the injuries. MPD’s investigation found that the suspect and victim know each other.
A 30 year-old was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and first-degree burglary.
