Metropolitan Police Department detectives made an arrest in a homicide that occurred on August 23, on the 2300 block of Minnesota Avenue, SE.
According to a press release, at about 9:34 pm, officers located 24-year-old Chaquan Barbett suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Dec. 19, 18-year-old Jerome Israel was arrested and charged with first-degree murder while armed.
