The Metropolitan Police Department arrested Dec. 30 a man they believe is connected to a homicide that occurred on the 1300 block Congress Street, SE.
According to a press release, 29-year-old Romiel Hightower is charged with first-degree murder while armed. He allegedly shot 27-year-old Jamal Bandy several times on July 21.
