The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of 18-year-old Jose Hernandez, who is alleged to be involved in a fatal shooting in the Petworth neighborhood on April 29. The incident resulted in the death of 19-year-old Zephaniah Wright and left a 15-year-old juvenile as a surviving victim with serious injuries. Hernandez was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
