Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detectives announced that an arrest has been made for an assault with a dangerous weapon that occurred on Nov. 14.
The victim approached the suspect on the 800 block of 15th Street, NW, and took some of the suspect’s property before attempting to flee the scene. The suspect stopped the victim and then struck him multiple times with a flagpole. Both were shortly after apprehended at the scene.
A 54 year-old male, from Staten Island, NY is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. The 25 year-old victim, of Northwest, DC is charged with second-degree theft.
