On May 3, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and found 23-year-old Mecca India Tyshea Gravette and 25-year-old Sukarno Turner suffering from gunshot wounds in a car on the 3700 block of 1st Street, SE.
Gravette was pronounced dead on site, and Turner died at a local hospital.
The homicides are currently under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
