Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detectives are investigating a homicide that happened on April 4.

At around 9:19 p.m., officers responded to the the 1800 block of 24^th Street, NE for the report of the sounds of gunshots.

There, they found 33 year-old Dontra Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
