Metropolitan Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Dec. 29, on the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE.

According to a press release, at about 9:26 pm, officers located two adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
