Metropolitan Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Dec. 30, on the 900 block of 12th Street, SE.

According to a press release, at about 6:09 pm, officers located 32-year-old Reekey Garner suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
