Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detectives are investigating a Sept. 15 homicide.

At approximately 12:43 a.m. officers arrived at the 4000 Block of 1^st Street, SE, due to sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, police located 37-year-old Paris Odemns with gunshot wounds. They were later pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to the press release.
