Document: Man Killed in Southeast Shooting

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a shooting that killed a man on Dec. 22 on the 3000 block of Stanton Road, SE.

According to MPD documents, officers responded to the location for the sounds of gunshots, where they located evidence of a shooting. A short time later, officers were alerted that a rideshare driver had brought a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the First District Station. He died there.

The victim was identified as 31-year-old Tejuan Coleman.

MPD offers a reward to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide in the District.
