The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of four juveniles in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred on Dec. 22, 2024, in the 5800 block of Dix Street, NE. The suspects, aged 12 to 16, allegedly approached a victim as she parked her vehicle, brandished a handgun, and fled with her car, which has since been recovered. The juveniles were arrested in March 2025, with charges including Armed Carjacking and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.
