The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with the shooting of a 5-year-old girl in a Southwest apartment on Dec 16. The child was accidentally shot by another child with an unsecured firearm and remains hospitalized with critical injuries. Darrell Graham, 59, was charged with First Degree Cruelty to Children, while D’Jaunae McCrory Jackson, 21, was charged with multiple offenses, including Assault on a Police Officer and Criminally Negligent Storage of a Firearm. A ghost gun and ammunition were recovered from the scene.
