The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced they are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Dec. 26 in the 2700 block of Fairlawn Avenue, SE. The victim, identified as 41-year-old Lamar Edmonds, was found unconscious and not breathing, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
